An excellent trip to Cumbria. Barrow players and fans did them proud. Very friendly welcome from the fans. We arrived early and rather than go to Wetherspoons or one of the other pubs we went straight into the ground. I figured I’d rather give my money to Barrow club than mr Wetherspoon. Had a good chat to a few fans and one of the stewards- who was younger than the last time I had visited Barrow!!!!
They certainly didn’t make it easy on the pitch, barrow played well and I do hope that lolohea is back next week as although Leroy did ok stepping up last minute in the halves we will need a bit more going forward as we did miss the extra kicking game from pryce/lolohea or someone!
Russell had the entire game on his shoulders for much of it and it showed that there was little direction from elsewhere at times.
No matter we are into the next round against Hull.

Reading the twitter account of some very excitable Hull fans it's hardly worth your while turning up for the cup tie, their team are already through to the semi finals. Personally i look forward to a close, hard fought game. Think however you will miss Pryce badly though in the coming weeks.

we may miss him somewhat but I'm not convinced we will miss him BADLY. there has been a heck of a lot of hype about pryce, and don't get me wrong he is going to be an absolutely great player, but for me there are others in the side who are contributing much more to what's making things go right right in our team right now. If we can get cogger and lolohea back soon then I think we will be ok.
Let Hull be over confident. they can go into our game thinking they already have it won with an eye on the big derby game the following week. their attitude has let them down in the past previously.........

Spot on there Jools, Cogger is a very good and underrated footballer well worth his place in the team for my money. We will miss Pryce but as you say not that badly he is still a young man learning the game and certainly will go on to be a top class player but we need the experience and control of the likes of Cogger Lolohea and Fages. As for Hull FC dismissing us in the quarter final thats up to them but it would be nice to see Jones score the winning try in front of the Hull supporters in the last minute as they love him so much

A little bit unfair guys, your judging Hull fans on the basis of a poster with no affiliation to our club, who has made 46 posts, and is obviously stirring, and your falling for it, we expect a hard contest in the cup, and nothing would be taken for granted.

as for the Jones scenario, he signed a contract and basically decided it’s not for him, any blame on that one lies firmly at the feet of Jones.

I agree on Will Pryce. He's a great prospect and will be missed but he's not an essential. We have cover. More important to have Levi, Lolohea and Fages in the starting line up.

I'm not sure I share the enthusiasm about Cogger. I'd rather have Ollie Russell in the halves (and I didn't think I'd say that at the start of the season).

I have the Hull game as bang even. Bigger fish to fry first anyway. Catalans is going to be a tough ask.

I would also rather have ollie in the halves, but since it looks as though lolohea may be injured we also need someone else!
