Post subject:  2020 Season and squad

What are peoples thoughts on our squad this year? We look to have possibly the biggest squad in the whole league.

After seeing us win the first 2 games away from home was really pleasing and with 5 out of the first 6 games being away from home it was really important that we have started well.

From the looks of things we have a really well balanced squad with strength in depth in every position.

Sezer has been everything wed hoped this far and his partnership with Gaskell will only get better and better. We have 2 half backs in Holmes and Russell who are ready to play if injuries occur as well as the likes of Innes Senior, Adam Walne, Oliver Roberts (who played excellent for Fax) & Oliver Wilson who are all fit and ready to play when required. With further depth from Jon Luke Kirby, Chester Butler, Dom Young, Sam Hewitt & Owen Trout.

Sam Wood has grabbed his chance with both hands given I don't think anyone thought he would even start the season let alone feature much this year.

Injury wise we have Golding to come back in for Full back. Not that I hold much hope for either but there is a chance Cudjoe and Uate could both get fit and feature which even if they don't make the first 17 anymore they aren't bad players to have as back up if we do get injuries.

A couple of concerns for me are hooker as if AOB gets injured we could be in real trouble unless Holmes can step up. Another concern is for players like Walne & Russell is that they aren't playing at all so how are they supposed to get match fitness? Walne and Russ have been 18 + 19th man both weeks and due to the reserves taking place the day before or same day, they haven't been able to play in the reserves which must be frustrating. Saying that the reserve game next week is on the Saturday so both might feature then if they don't play Friday.
