I don't think we're good enough for the play offs - today is evidence of that. 3rd & 4th are too far gone now to catch. Anyone who disagrees are being very optimistic I think. Are we capable of winning 4 games more then Hull or Cas in the remainder of the season? NO. If Leeds beat Wakey on Monday we will be 2 points off 5th. But as and when Wakey get players back lets face it - they are far more consistent than us even with half their squad out. Its strange how 1 player (Gaskell) seems to effect us so much. Lets face it, he will play around 50% of our remaining games which means were likely to struggle in 50% of the games. If Tom Holmes is fit now, would anyone give him a chance? Leroy Cudjoe? will we see him this season? ive heard rumours suggesting we wont. I chose not to believe them but Woolford has been extremely quiet on Cudjoe who 3 weeks ago was due back for this period. I wish the club would clarify. Dale Ferguson, will we see him this season? We have the makings of a decent team but we need at least 2 more props for next year. Matagi has 1 good game every 4 or 5, it isnt good enough. Same goes for Seb. Our discipline is terrible. We are up against it every game for the amount of errors we make and penalties we give away, nothing changes. I see us finishing in 9th or 10th in the table in front of London, Hull KR and possibly Wigan or Leeds. We need to stop living on "we have players missing" excuse. We are far better off for injuries compared to most teams. We were only 4 players off a full strength side today as only English, Mellor, Gaskell & Cudjoe were missing who would make the starting 17. Positives so far: Darnell at FB Alex Mellor Kruise Leeming (apart from today) Gaskell (when he plays) Negatives: Injuries Our discipline Jerry - been very very poor this year. Overseas players in general |

Whilst I don't want to add any further undue pressure, I'm amazed at how lightly Frawley is getting off, to say he's broughs replacement, he's not doing enough in attack for me, think he's on 4 assists and 1 try for the season and he's played every minute of every game. That's not good enough in my opinion. I know it's still early days and changing the combos every week won't help, but when Gaskell plays you can see his creativity, you don't see that from Frawley. Woolford said Holmes was back in full contact training, hopefully we get to see him get a shot in the next few weeks. |

I agree with a lot of the points made but would like to add the following Oliver Russell not physically ready to play this level yet. Jordan Turner no 4 a natural left centre playing right centre ????????? Jerry not the same when Leroy is not there. Lee Gaskell back to his classy saints days the one big plus thus far. Frawley juries still out. Chris Thorman appears to be a massive loss. Leroy Cudjoe and Dale Ferguson. Cas and Wire got special dispensation for players out for the season why not us if they are not going to play ??? I’ve heard the rumour Leroy is ‘done’ hope it’s not true for the lad but if it is then hard decisions need to be made the same with Ferguson. The club cannot prevaricate as they did with Tom Symonds. Simon Woolford up to yesterday I had him in a plus 55/45 for the season, but any coaching team who can’t get a team up and ready for a clash with the bottom of the table side in front of a big crowd and a large contingent of travelling supporters on a perfect sunny Good Friday afternoon asks some very serious questions and turns it around to 45/55 and a negative for Mr Woolford. |

Got to keep winning the games we are capable of winning, this year is purely about survival now and hoping for better recruitment for next year. We have done pretty well at winning the games we are capable of winning this year, and we must keep doing that to avoid relegation. Wakefield at home should be very winnable with the injuries they have, it's about putting maximum effort in when we play these kind of games, because we simply are not capable of beating many sides with our current team. I would look at replacing both halves for next year, Frawley because he isnt good enough and Gaskell because he's unreliable, whether his fault or not. |

Gave Woolford and Thewlis credit for losing the players we've managed to get rid of but they need to take responsibility for the dire overseas recruitment. Uate, Matagi and Frawley are extremely poor value for money. We need to lose all 3 of them at seasons end. Uate in particular is horrendous. How did he ever play origin?? Yes other players are not good enough but will be paid a fraction of what these boy are get. Both Frawley and Russell have no kicking game at all. We also can no longer defend kicks. Would Uate make anyone's first choice 17??? Darnell is far too good for this team. Id urge him to move on as soon as possible otherwise he'll end up wasted at the Giants like Jerry has been. |

Darnell and Turner both stand out players so far mellor been decent but apart from that poor, uate is a confidence shot player who may never regain that and did have a horrible injury before we signed him , I think when frawley and Gaskell play they’re pretty good not standard but not awful , leeming is a 50/50 game player and Jerry doesn’t seem to be like Jerry of old |
