Well not unexpected but his interpretation of the ruck area was interesting to say the least !! Two disallowed tries one where the in goal judge went back normally signifies a try and a forward pass given by a lame linesman 20 yards behind the play !! Ta'ai was in the shade Broughton in the sun it was a puzzling decision !! How he missed the whack around the head Connor got is beyond me. At times Hull were a couple of yards off the 1st receiver the 10 was that thin and they were still 2/3 years in front of Bentham. it was a match we would have lost earlier in the season but the difference between this and how Warrington were policed on Friday night was a chasm !!! |

The pass to broughton WAS forward- the sun has nothing to do with it! Shadows aren't necessarily straight! Connor took a few high ones- I suspect the hull lads had been instructed to make the youngster feel uncomfortable- and please please please don't moan about off side- we weren't as a team all game and ferres rarely was! We moan when a ref like child's doesn't let the game flow when he does we moan he allows stuff to go -whilst watching one-eyed. We were never going to get the 50/50s with folk booing him all night were we! In the second half we got a couple of dubious calls. |

a few iffy calls FOR BOTH SIDES, but nothing that affected the outcome of the game. the no try forward pass looked marginal but as we weren't in line with it it's hard to tell, can't really slate him for that. the one where talanoa knocked on, was more down to the touchjudge, bentham was looking for him to give him a nod but the touchy just stood his ground. |

No real complaints about him yesterday. I actually thought it was one of the more consistent refereeing performances I've seen this season. Most of the dubious calls tended to me made by the touch judges (which I thought was good to see them actually see them getting involved in the decision making rather than wondering what the point of them actually is) and I don't think either side could complain he favoured the other. |

Didnt really give us much yesteday but the pass to broughton was forward, thought taai could have gone himself or passed to other players inside broughton, wrong option for me what about that one from mcgillvary , storming run only to be held up...or was he?! |

as a hull fan, bentham was awful, for both teams, funny how nobody notices there own team messing around the ptb, one example, 5th tackle, logan tries to play the ball but the hudds defender has another grab of his foot, normally this would have been a penalty if it was 1st-4th tackle! both teams were taking advantage of benthams ability not to police the offside rule, maybe he wanted an open game, which it certainly was the utai no try was correctly ruled no try, but it didnt really matter as you scored on the following play |

No worse than any other ref really, problem is our fans have taken umbrage with Bentham now and he will never be able to have any other than a shocker against us and get booed on and off....there were one or two yesterday that i thought he should have given but its the same every week regardless who the ref is ...this booing/hatred of 1 particular ref is a bit embarrassing if i'm honest. |
