Not really. I bet the players are taking the pee out of something rotten. Land five punches and Ablett walks away laughing.
During his suspension he should be sent to sheffield for two weeks and to train with Kell Brook

bit disappointed he didn't put ablett on his backside, that would have been worth the red card usually I berate players who do silly things like get himself sent off, wardle's standing ovation yesterday I think showed that most fans thought he did right by standing up to leeds dirty play.

Talk about turn the other cheek niggler Ablett turned every thing to get out of the way well done Joe think we will see more players having a crack at Ablett he is not as hard as he thinks he is also well done to the Giants always like to see the Whinos turned over

Good on Joe. Abblett fancies himself as a bit of an enforcer. Likes to throw the sly punch but showed yesterday he is not willing to go toe to toe when the opprtunity arises. Would have been nice to see him on his booty but I think he got the message.
McGuire, Bailey and Luluai could have done with a slap aswell.

Interesting quote from PA -
"We might have to play with 12 more often. I've not looked at it but, if he's punched him, he's probably got what he deserves. I'm happy for him. It's a real defining moment in Joe Wardle's career. People go out and niggle and he's stood up to it. I'm not happy with the sending-off but he's grown up a bit today."

It's hard to remember that he's still only 21.
spot on from baloo, leeds game is based a lot on intimidation, lots of cheap little digs and niggly stuff, good on anyone standing upto bullyboy tactics whoever they are.

Niggling in the tackle is and always has been part of the game, very similar to what goes on in cricket between batsmen and slips - much as you apparently admire a violent reaction to niggling from one of your forwards I'm not so sure that you'd be so happy to lose a player every week because they react in such a way.
A red card does often does result in a more resolute defence, we've all seen it many times, but it also results in holes in the most resolute defences especially in the last twenty minutes, I won't say your team got lucky yesterday because they didn't, they worked very hard to plug the gaps but you'd probably be singing a different tune this morning had you conceded two tries with 12 men ?

Hand on heart. No I wouldn't. This will do Joe the world of good in the long run and sends out a message to players like Ablett and teams like Leeds that we will not be bullied or intimidated by them.

Joe is a quality player. He has gone from strength to strength. He is as good in attack as defense and has the capability to break from deep.
Good on Joe for standing up to ablett. Smart thing would have been to laugh in his face and not let ablett get to him however sends out the message that one of youngest and smaller of our blokes will not be bullied by a seasoned hard case!
It was a red as it was not just a knee jerk reaction after a tackle words were said between the two a few seconds after a tackle then Joe launched 5 to the head. More thought in I suppose than if he got hit high a landed one as soon as he got back up.
Also Joe is a great part of that left side! Murphy Joe ferres, really a new combination this year with less than a seasons worth of games between ferres and Wardle and Murphy coming onto the wing early this season. They all are safe as houses in defence and great in attack!
