Just wanting some feedback from those who've been to the games where they have been playing to give to the club as requested.
Would appreciate it if as many of you as can leave some comment.....things I'm after are stuff like :

Do they help the atmosphere/has it encouraged you more ?
Do you think they join in with the fans or try and dictate to the crowd and if so is this a good or bad thing?
Do you think they have a good repertoire or are they repetitive ?
What could they do more or less of to help in your opinion?
Are you happy for the club to persist with them?

If you have anything you want to say but don't want to put it on the board feel free to PM me with anything !

Cheers in advance...don't forget this is the clubs idea and they want as much feedback good and bad as possible so fire away !!!

well they seem to have been welcomed into the group now after the stick they got from certain sections of fans after game 1.

still early days but cant see any reason for the band not to continue.

Think they're OK, the crowd seemed fairly quiet and subdued on Thurs, the band can only help with the atmosphere :D

For me it's too early to answer some of the questions you posted but I can definitely say I think they are worth persisting with for the next few home games at the very least.

The best compliment I can them at this stage is at the Hull game they seemed out of place, not in tune with the crowd and a bit annoying but at the Widnes game they didn't seem out of place at all and I only really noticed them when I'd expect to hear them so I thought they were much more in sync with the crowd. (I should note location wise I'm a couple of blocks away from them in the BR stand)

Just like anything it will take time to work. I think it's the start of something positive. Eventually the tunes will be appropriate and in sync with what the fans want.
The first time Leeds Rhinos played the band I'm sure it was a mess with the fans.
I think it will help spread the atmosphere given a chance.

You lot at the back do your best and there wouldn't be half the atmosphere if you guys wasn't singing and starting chants but you guys can only do so much.

Not everyone is comfortable with joining in with the noisy lot at the back.
Young children will love the band.

On the other side of things, I would imagine the older (60+) generation might be put off. Some not all. I hope it doesn't put some of them, or any one for that matter, off for next season.

As I said last night can't help falling in love doesn't really work with the band, its too slow when they play and it ended up last night with most of the crowd just mumbling along, for me the crowd should just sing this on their own without the band

And also it doesn't work with having big G banging the drum at the same time, if we have to have the band then get rid of G's drum

Its not a moan just an observation other than that they were fine especially with the try celebrations

With the band its all about timing! A few times they played at very quiet moments in the game, when only the singers join in. Its about them taking the few opportunities when fans are clapping or cheering! Tries/Points are a given, but when big tackles go in people get on their feet. As soon as that happens the drum needs to get going and people sub-consciously join in. Aside from the win, and jerry's control over Carney, the whole of the BR stood up joining in with 'stand up for the fartowners' was my moment of the match!
