Potentially a tricky game for us, will obviously see this as an opportunity to rest one or two key players but at the same time also need to make sure of this and show Batley some respect.

Any thoughts on the 17?

Personally I would like to see McNally given a run out at fullback with Grix rested as there looked to be some signs of fatigue from him in the Salford game. Would also like to see Wood given a shot at 7 with Broughy rested. Provided we have some solid props on such as Griffin & Raleigh at minimum they should be able to lay enough of a platform for Wood & Brown.

It's a Challenge Cup game and as such should be given the respect it deserves.

Full strength squad that should blow Batley off the face of the earth and take us to the next round.

Funny thing is, for the hunslet game, our squad wasn't THAT bad, it wasn't full of youngsters. Yes, we were missing players like Stanley Gene, Paul Reilly and Steve McNamara, but this was who we had

Cooper
O'Hare
Bailey
Calland
St Hilaire
Costin
White
Slicker
March
Fleary
Crabtree
Gannon
O'Doherty

Wittenberg
Turner
Whittaker
Morrison

Thanks for that. It is funny that every time people suggest the need to rest some players everyone come sout withy The Salford game and the Hunslet game. Yet with both of those squads they were both STRONG enough to win. |TH eonly difference was that the players who played did not play to anywhere near their potentil.

When fans coming back from France are saying that it was a very tough game , with brutal hits and that players like Scoitt Grix are looking tired then it is clear some players need a rest.

By the time of the Saints game in a fortnight if we get any more injuries in the forwards we will struggle against a big pack. We need some fresh players for that.

If a combination of some first teamers and some of our squad players such as Molloy, Cording and Joe Wardle cannot step up for a match like Batley ( when we will have nearly 3000 fans there) then we may as well give up.

i didnt say it was a weakened team against hunslet, i know it was a strong side thats why it made the defeat as bad as it was. my point was the stronger the side we put out then the better chance we have of winning ...obviously it doesn't always work like that! i've no problem puttin the fringe players as they have shown they're good enough at SL level, i dont think we shud be throwin juniors or lesser reserve players in !

i think we should rest the players that need a rest i mean brough has played every game so far so he deserves a rest, grix does etc, and the youngsters we do play are good players people like molloy, wardle, cording all played against super league teams and done well so i have no problem with playing them.

our players are obvs gonna be tired playing 3 games in a week with one of them traveling to france will take it out of you i feel this is the best game for us to rest some players and give the young and eager players a chance to come in and shine

whats all this about fatigue.... if our squad is fatigued then there is no hope for the 12 other super league teams..they must all be in bed !
