My fridge has become warm 4 times in last 3 weeks. Once it has been defrosted it works again for a while. The fan works.

Any suggestions as to the fault, please?

Thanks in advance for all helpful replies.

Sin bin NOT VT.

The VT is for RL the sin bin is for people to show how clever they are . The kudos someone will get for diagnosing a technical problem via a public thread is about the same as doing all of Girls aloud. ( its a bloke thing).

This happens to mine on a regular basis. The technical term is "Ms. pmh leaving the door open".

Could it be something to do with the compressor, and when do I get to have a go on girls aloud?

Not sure myself what could be causing this but I know my parents had a similar problem but they rectified it by buying a new fridge!
My fridge was acting strange not so long ago where the milk and only the milk was freezing solid yet nothing else was affected even put a thermometer inside to check the temp but that was fine, checked seals they were fine. Then all of a sudden the milk stopped freezing solid without doing anything to the fridge!!

As I've said on your VT topic. You can probably pick one up for peanuts from Wakefield right now.

Alternatively, I've a fridge in my garage from when we had the kitchen done you can borrow if you need to. It needs a good clean though. I'm trying to grow some new bacteria in it at present.
