The statement simply says that 6 players are helping police with their inquiries, that's how I read it anyway.

It was the second lead story on five live news that was the main news ( just after haiti) not the sports news. Not good at all the sooner it is sorted the better.

Huddersfield Giants Managing Director Richard Thewlis has given the following statement to www.giantsrl.com:

“I can confirm that six of our playing squad are currently helping police with their enquiries in the Newcastle area regarding an allegation made in the early hours of Tuesday morning by an unnamed female. The club has fully co operated with all requests made of us by the police and we are now awaiting further information from them.”

Thewlis has travelled up to North East to conduct the club's own enquiry into the circumstances. No further comment will be made by the club or any of its staff, players or coaches at this stage.


Have decided to Lock it for now before the idiots get out of bed. Already on other boards speculation is begining. It may l cause too many difficulties otheriwse and i am not sure what else can be said at the minute anyway.
