Saw this on the Wire board and thought it might be interesting. (although we may have had this last off season) Can you pick a team of current or former players and subs who you would want to be playing if a game was gonna be decided by a bit of Biff. Can anyone fill in any gaps or offer alternatives. 1 Paul Reilly. ( could start a fight in an empty room) 2 Ken Senior ( i bow to IVOR on this one) 3 Michael De Vere ( Karate black belt, although too professional to run the risk of a card IMHO 4 Harold Wagstaffe( played as a boy against men and became a legend must have been tough) 5 6 Graham Swale ( did not matter where he played. he would fight in any position.) 7 8 Ian Van Bellen ( legendary hard man of the game) 9 Don Close ( My uncle said he was as tough a hooker as you could get) 10 Keith Mason ( every time their is aggro I keep thinking thats Keith off then) 11 Dennis Fitzpatrick ( should be at prop but this is about fighting not rugby) 12 David Fa alogo ( our big hitter next year) 13 Gary Senior ( allegedly the dirtiest player to wear the C&G) Subs Jimmy Johnson and Steve Lyons( both happy to play Rugby but not if it got in the way of a fight) Anthony Farrell ( not noted for shying away when it got tough) |

Gary Senior has to be alongside Dennis Fitzpatrick the dirtiest player i have seen in a Fartown shirt so i would put him in at 13 and move Swaz to 6 and leave Glen Knight out as he was as hard as Wayne Sleep in a brothel |

Dave king was as soft as sh*te Durham! affectionatly known as the crab where I sit given his tendancy to run sideways at the sight of the opposition! I would have dave boughton and coulter in the side as well as MDV who is a Kung Fu black belt despite his calm exterior! |

i was going to put coulter in the same team as senior, but i thought with most of our fans being newbies they wont remember one of them , never mind both |

Need Ken Senior on the wing. Certainly include Gary Coulter. And yes, Dave King didn't use his size effectively. |

I've just been to a dinner where Martin Offiah was the guest. On fights he said "I let those who knew how to fight get on with it, I just laid down and sunbathed."! Sensible chap! |
