I know he's not technically one of our players anymore but he will be starting the 4 nations opener on Friday night at hooker.

but it would be fair to say Nathan Brown made him what he is today.

he looked to be going nowhere at Cas and now he is an international hooker.

he has just signed a new 3 year deal at saints and i guess that after the season he has had at the Giants he will have cost saints £20,000 a year extra.

I agree compare him to his spells at Cas and Saints to what he is today and he is a completely different player. Fantastic effort from Brown he slightly did the same with Lee Mossop he has come back from you guys a much better player ever since his short time with the Giants. And although my feelings for Saints are not positive they have a player on their books that has the potential to be one of the best hookers in English RL.

Not even the best English Hooker at Huddersfield, never mind England.

If that post was pointed at me then if you read my post correctly I did say Scott Moore has the potential to be one of the best English hookers.

Time will tell.

However, I think Scott Moore's form dipped from the time Saints told Nathan Brown off for trying to poach him (remember those days, when Brown was saying how great he was?). I also think Nathan Brown was unprofessional about Scott Moore when he said on TV in response to someone's positive comment about Moore that for the second half of the season Lunt had been the better player. My feeling at that point was that maybe something had been going on behind the scenes to undermine Scott Moore as I have never heard a coach be so personally critical of a player when interviewed before.

While Nathan Brown may well have been a good hooker in his time, I'm glad Scotty is back with us under the guidance of another hooker who achieved great respect in both hemispheres. Clearly Moore is happy to be back with us anyway, given that he has signed a new three year deal.

I think that this was connected with the Mickey Rourke incident. It would be fair to say that Moore did blot his copybook unfortunately.

Potentially he is going to be very good but i think he will need a strong coach to keep him focused.

Despite this i think that Lunt has the potential to be better. But like all of these things only time will tell.

Ah, but. We've had Sean Long in our team for 12 years. Having a few beers with Mickey Rourke and backing out of a training session is nothing compared to what we've been used to! In fact, it could be seen as a badge of honour.

Perhaps. We probably have a handbook of guidance for coaches somewhere, for dealing with players going off the rails!

I haven't seen enough of Lunt to judge. But I hope we get two very good hookers/halves/whatever they turn out to be because that can only enhance our game overall, both nationally and internationally.
