Huddersfield Giants have signed utility man Scott Grix from Wakefield Wildcats. The 25-year-old, who captained Ireland at the 2008 World Cup, has signed a two-year deal at the Galpharm Stadium. Grix told BBC Radio Leeds: "I'm really looking forward to it. I'm looking to progress my career and I can't think of anywhere better to do it. "If I can improve as much as the whole squad at Huddersfield has improved under [coach] Nathan Brown, then I'll be happy." Grix, who had spells at Widnes, Leigh and Warrington, can play in a number of positions including full-back, wing, stand-off and loose-forward. The Giants become the eighth professional club of his career, and he hopes that the move will be beneficial for all involved. "I have had a few clubs over the years but I think every one of the moves I've made has been a positive one and one to improve myself," Grix added. "With the way they [Huddersfield] perform on the pitch, it's going to be a big season for me. |

What do you want? A pat on the back? I think it's a good move for all three parties. We are blessed with halves so was never really gonna get a look in with all our players fit. Hope he gets regular gametime for you guys. He could progres into a good player in a team more suited to his playing style |

Jeffries has not played well for 2/3 years and Obst is cover in the halves (though a nifty 9). Blessed? Have you made some other signings? |
