after all the debate about the poor crowds for the play offs so far, i was wondering what people's thoughts on tonights crowd is?
what would you consider a good/bad crowd etc?
personally i think anything over 5,000 will be a good crowd when you take into account:
its a friday night game
its live on sky
away support will be almost non existant
its all pay, fair enough the club have reduced ticket prices and good on them for that.
considering we struggled to get 5,000 for a cup quarter final on a roasting sunday afternoon with a decent away following.
whatever the attendance tonight im damn sure we'll get some grief over it.
the Claret And Gold Machine is ready to roll
sunday September 1st 2013, when a dream became a reality!!
I shall be attending but getting the ST has, in a way, kind of left me unprepared for these games at the end. Bit of a grey way of explaining it like, but I hadn't considered the cost of these games until it's just round the corner.
If London is Athens, Yorkshire is Sparta, a tougher community and proud of it.
Is it all credit crunch or is it partially people not buying into the concept?
I think the recession has certainly exaggerated the figures but the play off earlier stages generally haven't been as well attended as league fixtures.
I remember our game at Hull the other year was down on the league game attendance wise.

To be honest i'll be well pleased if we get 5,000 if the other playoff attendances from last week are anything to go by. If we win another expensive weekend next week and if we win that more expense at old Trafford. It's been a very expensive last couple of months following the Giants, challenge cup semi and final together with holidays etc, and still haven't got my season ticket yet. My wallet will be glad when the season,s over, i just hope it isn't over untill after the grand final. I can understand why supporters are more inclined to watch the playoffs on tv with a few beers rather than having to shell out what has been a very expensive few months, but i'm not complaining and hoping for more of the same next season.
