Personally I'd have Thorman back, were still missing an out and out stand off, and if he can recover from Sharp's disastorous influence he's still one of the best English S/O. |

I may have an agenda but I do agree with little Ivor. It took sharp's messing about to ruin Chris, and he obviously did the same at FC. Even they seem to have realised sharp's limitations |

Not sure how any coach has turned Thorman into one of the worst defenders in SL. I thhink he was S/O for Hull at Leeds on Sky. It was one of the worst rugby performances I have witnessed. He has turnstile defence. Runs , slowly and very latterally and compresses his centre /sr / wing making it easy to defend against. Has a passable short kicking game - at times. If we have aspirations of being a top team he is not for us. |

To play a man with six(6) painkilling injections and play him out of position is not the reciept to grow a good player. Of course this is only my opinion. |

Would not disagree re injections. Not sure the injections make him such a bad defender / cause him to run laterally in game after game etc. He has a good character and that will serve him well long after he has finished playing. A low cost back up player, maybe. But a S/O in a top 4 side.....surely not. |

Cag -- You might know first hand ! Wasnt he chosen at SO for GB second string alongside Burrows by Noble (or was it Smith?)before Sharpe started "converting him to full back ?? Seem to remember him having a cracking game against the tourists in that position and being on the verge of a full cap - or am I mistaken ? |

yes you'r right cracker, despite Jon starting to put him to FB Tony picked him as SO. His game and confidence on the field started falling after that decision by Sharp. |
