We were on the end of some dubious decision-making with referee Steve Ganson missing a knock-on in the build-up to Warrington's opening try and video ref Phil Bentham disallowing first-half scores by Lunt and David Hodgson.
WHY WAS PHIL BENTHAM THE VIDEO REF,IM NOT SAYING WE WOULD OF WON BUT HES FROM WARRINGTON,THEY WERE PLENTY MORE REFS TO PICK FROM TO DO IT,SILVERWOOD,SMITH,THALER.WHY??

Apparently it doesnt matter as they are 'full time' so no case from the RFL. ie they should be impartial. Not that I am saying Bent ham,s decisions were dubious. To be honest we were way below par anyway so its of no consequence. move on.

Phil Bentham is actually a native of Leigh. He just lives in Warrington.

thats the point though, he lives in warrington only in rugby league would this happen, regardless with the VR got it right or wrong he shouldnt have been doing the job because of that fact, as said previously there were plenty of other refs who could have done it, then any doubt would have been removed. :o

Thought Ganson was a star at the end. After Wire had walked round Ganson went over to a young lad in the Huddersfield end and gave him the match day ball... really nice gesture.

Who cares if he lives in Warrington? I live in Leeds, I'm sure I could video ref a rugby match without feeling I had to be biased towards Leeds.
