Maybe its only me but i feel sorry for Spuggy - a player who had loads of talent but has been hammered by 2 sets of fans over the last 3 years which have turned him into half the player he was/could have been.

It was sad to hear both sets of fans booing him last night - not a lot of our fans but a handful.
Credit to him though for giving us a wave after the last try - he didnt have to do that and probably lost a few mre friends in Hull for doing it.
People seem to forget what a good player he was for us before Mr Sharp decided to experiment with him - chin up Chris you'll always be a Giant in my eyes.

felt sorry for him too lastnight, he even gave us a wave when we asked him too after the last try!!

no doubting he gave his best every week for the giants but it all went sour the last two seasons with us for him

im afraid jon sharp ruined chris thorman, thats my opinion anyway. when reilly was retiring why not bring in a specialist fullback to replace him? no instead sharp thinks thorman is suddenly a replacment for fullback?

i also feel he did a good job of ruining rod jensen.

felt sorry for thorman myself last night, even more so when some of our lads went to try and make him feel better, then even more so again when he gave us the wave.

It was disappointing - you knew what was going to happen though when that last bomb went up. I found myself willing him to catch it!

i really felt for him after leroy's try
he was on his haunches head in his hands, being consoled by both sets of players, with a few hundred giants fans taunting him which was a bit cruel.

i hope he turns it round because despite what some people think of him, he was a good servant for us and he doesn't deserve some of the treatment he receives.

I was totally ambarrassed by the chanting directed at CT. From what I heard, he never wanted to leave us but had to go to make way for our new, Aussie superstar that never was.

Why he should want to follow Sharp to Hull when it was JS who ruined his career I'll never know.

He showed what he was capable of in the latter part of last season when he resumed his stand off role.

He was a good servant to our club. And an excellent ambassador off the field.

well no need to be embarrassed mate, i joined in with both sets of chants. end of the day its all banter, i joined in with youl always be a giant, give us a wave and even cheered when he waved. but i joined in with the others because i saw it as banter.

thorman was a fantastic player, but like i said before jon sharp has ruined him and its criminal!! i used to respect sharp but he has ruined a couple of good players. i hope thorman moves on and gets back to how he was.

one of the best coaches we`ve had "ruining" OUR players ???

Nay lad - tha must be mistaken !!

(and then if thats not enough for Chris !................. )

W`ll never fully know the "ins and outs" (well SOME will!) but to go and get more of the same at Hull FC amazes me!

I feel for Chris. He is a quality player and I hope he finds a club that can get the best out of him.

He was a wonderful captain for us and he was a major part in us making the play offs and challenge cup final.
