Jermaine McGilvray scored 5 tries as Batley beat Whitehaven (McNally 3 goals) And he kicked a goal. |

I would bring McGilvray back instead of Aspinwall. Aspy has not got his pace. |

According to my Batley pals he was absolutely outstanding yesterday. Ran fast, hard and through the tackles. He doesn't stutter into the impact, he goes through it. So much potential. |

Maybe time to loan him out to an SL club for more experience. Wakie wouldn't be a bad place for him to go - he's mates with Luke George. |

He had a stormer! Looked like he'd score every time he got the ball. Worth the entrance fee to watch him alone. I don't understand they hype about McNally though. I've seen this kid 4 or 5 times now and he's had more poor games than good. Still, he's got time. |

Can't doubt his try scoring ability though, people say he just backs up play and gets over the line, but thats something you can't teach, Has an ability to go down faster than the stock market if he takes a big hit though, something he needs to toughen up on. And seems to have a bit of a temper if things arent going his way (slamming the ball into the ground, kicking it away ect) But traits he should lose as he gets older. Certainley a player I wouldn't mind seeing on loan at Fax next season if Hudds decided to loan him out again but nearer to Huddersfield rather than "At Home" at Whitehaven. |

To be fair to the lad he'd get blown over in a strong wind. But as you say he has a talent and nurturing that into a a Full Time career whilst ensuring he is continuing his education is important. The balance he has with his studies, PT Rubgy in his hometown whilst on the books of an SL team is something many academy players across all SL clubs would dream of. |
