As a fax fan living in huddersfield I also think it's a pretty nice town, it's got it's dumps like everywhere but on the whole is a nice place. Almondbury has IMO the best and worst of huddersfield in the same village.

You could say that about any village with an council housing estate!! Slawit up hill top has/had an horrendous rep but go to the other side of the Res and it's lovely especially at the rose and crown!! Marsden's very similar if Dirker didn't exist it would be a lovely village!!
Live in London now, but realise every time I visit what a beautiful town Huddersfield is, 'the Venice of the north'(Engels). Great view and feelin driving through Flockton and down into town.

Where I used to live in Oakes had one hell of a view over the Colne and Holme valleys I could sit and just look at the view for hours. But there are 2 places I love to visit where you get a great view of the town and it's surrounding area! Castle Hill and West Nab above Meltham! I love drawing landscapes and my old school, Colne Valley, was brill for it's views and I spent many an Art lesson with my pad and pencil drawing them!!

If i was to marry, i dont know if i ought to, if i would, if i should , i'd marry a Prop's daughter, she'd go down, i'd go down, we'd all go down together, we'd be alright in the middle of the night going down together!!
