Fortunately i had to miss this game.

Arent i the Lucky one

had the pleasure ( sic) of listening it to Radio Manchester which suggested that

1 Salford played the game simply and made very few errors

2 Although we had very good field position we could not score and bombed several chances

3 Our attacking kicks were very poor apart from the one where Aspy set up Robbo

4 Salford showed more commitment particualrly with their scrambling defence

5 We made a lot of errors ( although many of them were due to good Salford defence)

6 We seemed unlucky with a couple of things

7 When things started going badly our heads dropped.

8 we missed Hodgson

Anyone else got any views.

We just weren't at the races, first half they created 2 chances and scored both, we created 5 and only put 1 away.

Second half we were shocking and Kirmond on the 6th tackle wnet for a silly pass and they intercepted and ran it in from 70 yard out. After that we got progressively worse giving silly penalties away and awful decision making.

Salford fully deserved their win, it was the worst perdformance I've seen from us for a long time.

1 Salford played the game simply and made very few errors Pretty much correct

2 Although we had very good field position we could not score and bombed several chances We lacked pace and ideas to turn potential into tries. Created very little really.

3 Our attacking kicks were very poor apart from the one where Aspy set up Robbo True

4 Salford showed more commitment particualrly with their scrambling defence Agreed although offside & holding down wasn't policed by alibert though that is probably a tad unfair to Salford who were the better team and deserved the win

5 We made a lot of errors ( although many of them were due to good Salford defence) We were inept at times and just plain poor at others

6 We seemed unlucky with a couple of things Unlucky in the fact that all 17 players had a bad day together

7 When things started going badly our heads dropped. We showed no urgency at all throughout the game

8 we missed Hodgson Not sure even Brett could have helped in this one.

Anyone else got any views.

It was one of the worst performances by a Fartown team for a long time.
Tactics did not change in the second half despite the poor first half.
Why do we have three hookers in the team with one playing at loose forward, neither with any weight or go forward?
Why do we persist in playing Korkidas for 15 minutes a game? For a prop it's not good enough.
Why have we reverted to 5 drives and a kick and why do we always seem to turn back into the ruck?
Why do we seem to lack pace and fail to turn overlaps into scores?

I hope that today was the low point cos I am not looking forward to next week.

You've been round long enough to know the winning side never gets any credit :D

The best team won. Do you feel better now?

What we are discussing is how poor we were and how we should have beaten a lower placed side who had only won three league games previously.
