Not sure about our wingers -
aspinwall is always injured, good player though but he just seems to be injury prone.
Hodgson can score tries but i just dont rate him highly.peter fox at KR is a better winger.
cudjoe simply isnt good enough for super league,he hides away too often and doesnt get involved like he should.

maybe we could give mcgilviray a go instead of cudjoe.

just think we should sign a top winger for next season - akuila uate, peni tagive.

the consensus is that we need a prop, half back and second row. i think a new winger is a secondary need.

i agree about aspinwall who seems to be having a poor season. Cudjoe is surely being groomed to be Full back. As much as i like Mc Gilvaray i am not convinced he is good enough to be a SL winger. he seems like a better version of Bolu and needs to really work hard if he is going to get to SL standard

We have some really talented young lads who could make a breakthrough at wing soon. Jack Sampson, although primarily a full back, could be a real find and do something on the wing. He's got lots of promise. And McGilvray is shining in a Bat;ey side totally bereft of any form or confidence at the minute.

Aspers is a bit out of sorts but he will hopefully improve soon enough. He has it in him, he's just a bit out of sorts and lacking confidence. The answer isn't always based in Australia.

Dead right on that last line Danril

Cudjoe is an excellent prospect at fullback, and contrary to popular belief they are both specialist positions, yes they have a lot of overlap, but they are also very different in many, many ways.

Also its the easiest thing in the world to look and say "the winger messed up there" ignoring that the rest of the team had messed up before it got to the winger.

Aspers is having a poor time so far, but has the class to come through it.

But then giving a player so much grief they can never recover is a speciality of some of our fans.

i personally dont rate d.hodgson at all atm. he seems to be taking the ball up far to often and not getting anywhere.

aspinwall is not at his best so far this season. he definitely is a lot better than what he has been

He seems to have lost some of the strength in his legs to me. At least he's being less effective bringing the ball up from acting half back. A quality player when playing with confidence, but when he's lacking it boy can you tell.

Think thats a little harsh. Granted he may not always be top-notch, but hes scored a fair few tries this season.

Would you say that's mostly off the back of other players' good work though?

He reminds me as a bit of a Scott Donald-esque style player. Fairly average in his own half, but near to the tryline is a finisher.

Aint that what you want off a winger?

Maybe part of the problem is getting the right combination of centre and winger and getting them playing together regularly enough. There was one game when Aspinwall was injured and Lawrence and Cudjoe formed a fairly good partnership (not brilliant but it showed promise) but then the next week Aspinwall came straight back into the team.
