any thoughts on this? do we need more experienced players? a more experienced coaching staff? or do we just need self belief and commitment?

Just a couple

No, we've got probably the most experienced coaching staff in SL IMO.

Yes we need more of this without a doubt.

A blockbusting Prop, a skilled half back who can organise the plays, a powerful hard running second row. that would be the key positions. Other positions could be strengthened but could probably be from within the current squad.

do you think any of our youngsters could make that step up and produce that magic touch that we've been needing or do we need to look else where in super league or maybe in the NRL?

i really do think we are very close to being good enough, the right attitude goes a long way and we seem to be getting that right more often than not so far this season.
whilst kev brown is doing a good job at stand off i would like to see someone a little sharper in there organising and catching teams on the back foot with a little bit of flair.
i think we could do with a winger with frightening speed like kevin penny but only if he could catch a ball and tackle. other than that our pack is a match for any and in mid to late twenties which is when they are on top of their game. full back and centres are top drawer.
on top of that we seem to have a good academy side which shold produce few.

Agree with Durham Giant - offloading prop, big backrower and top aussie half. Puletua, Frank Pritchard and J Thurston/ Lockyer will do.
