You should have checked before going. Most of the pubs there do not open on a Sunday till one o clock. You probably found out how crap the beer was in the ground. Most pints are pulled about 2 hours before they are served and therefore are flat and absolutely yuck.
I don't know how all the Huddersfield fans found the pubs but a large number that I spoke to said that as all the pubs would not allow kids in then they would not be going to Murrayfield again. Plus the long walk in to the ground as well with the roads all dug up no one knew where to catch a bus.

Was drinking in a pub near the ground from 11 AM on Sunday, didn't think it was a bad pint at all and the atmosphere in and around the pub was great, plenty of children around also. The beer in the ground was no worse than the dishwater that most grounds try to pass off as draught bitter/lager.
Heard some fans had trouble with children not being allowed in Witherspoons in Haymarket, and the manager there seemed to have a problem with everything/everybody and didn't seem to want people to generally "have a good time" but other than that everybody I spoke to had a really good time and will probably be going back next year. No doubt some people won't have liked Murrayfield, but you'd get that wherever Magic Weekend is staged, you can't suit everybody and you'll always get someone who'll moan whatever. I didn't think everything was perfect up there but I had a great time and I'll probably be there again next year and will probably just boycott Witherspoons.
