Shouldn’t they have finished their season by then? Or are we talking U8 summer league?

It's a shocking time to play the game,

the under 8's and 9's and emerging 8's all will have games, and as piglet said unless the coach is a giants fan a lot of kids will miss this game.

I know that there is 35+ kids (and families) playing at Moldgreen Jnr’s who will have to make a choice Giants or the team they play for.

The Giants since getting the licence to remain in SL for 3 years guaranteed seem to have forgotten about the community game!

I think you will find this time was chosen benefit the community as they didn't want to lose out to those staying in and watching the TV game.

You can't please all of the people all of the time.

so not to lose the handfull of people who would rather stay home and watch 2 teams they dont support the giants kick off early and lose out on attracting the future of the club,

Ken Davey himself said 4 year ago(when talking about the 7's scheme) that at the age of 7/8 kids are making decisiona as to who they will support for the rest of there life so lets make this decision easy for them and there family's

Any hard evidence (pre and post licence) or is it small minded muck raking?

Compare the number of schools this term and the same period last year, the reduction in (experienced) personnel on the community team, all activity now takes place at the ZONE (at a cost) and not at local clubs as it has been done in the past.

I don’t need to muck rake, the Giants have not had a great community program for a number of years and since Lisa left it stalled quite a bit, but having said this Mick Sykes was very active and did what he could with the recourses at his disposal.

With a little thought and a lot of hard work we could have a program as good as Quin’s , Saints or Leeds who at the moment are showing the rest of the game how it’s done.

Give us the actual numbers or are you making it up?

Don't give us this 'not been good for years' stuff. You said since getting the licence they have forgotten the comunity game. So prove it.

Otherwise it looks like the muck raking of a malcontent.

Why would a fellow Giants fan want to muck rake?

Thats just the kind of remark we could do without on here Marsden, its picky and its tedious.

I have no idea why someone would want to muck rake. That is why I ask the poster for evidence / proof.

If they are making things up to criticise the club I hope we should be allowed to question it(?) If it is picky to ask a poster to back up criticisms with facts then that is a shame.

I have asked for proof from the poster and so far he / she has provided none.
