Hi to all you Huddersfield fans. I am coming up for the Celtic game in 2 weeks time and was wondering which are the best pubs to go for a drink before and after the game? I am staying in the George Hotel so some good pubs within falling into bed distance would be much appreciated. |

theres 2 nice drinkeries in the square where your staying - the head of steam and the other used to be the station tavern not sure what it is now, they're either side of the train station. further along theres a wetherspoons (cherry tree) or the main bar areas in town are around King Street (Kingsgate shopping centre). There's plenty of other pubs and bars dotted around though ! |

As Daz said, you are close to a few good places Head of Steam is a real ale pub and has a wide mix of people in it Cherrytree is as weatherspoons. Behind Cherry Tree is a bar called Vox wich is a decent place, wide mix of people and more a premium beer place (huge, huge selection of spirits) If you dont mind a shortish walk there is a superb real ale pub called The Grove at Springwood (easy directions from the George.) |
