Yorkshire Radio have agreed a 12-month commentary deal with the Rugby Football League for engage Super league XIV.
This new deal means Yorkshire Radio will be able to broadcast full match commentary on one game per round featuring a Yorkshire team as part of a dedicated Rugby League Show on a Friday night between 7pm and 10pm or on a Sunday afternoon between 2pm and 6pm.
The weekly ‘Ruck N Roll Show’ will be hosted by Richard Stead with guest summarisers including Andy Raleigh, Gary Thornton, Ryan McGoldrick and Wayne Godwin. A weekend preview show is also broadcast on a Thursday evening at 6.00pm.
Ben Fry, station director of Yorkshire Radio, said “We are delighted to add engage Super League commentary to our sports portfolio alongside full match commentary on Leeds United and media partnerships with Yorkshire County Cricket Club and Go Racing In Yorkshire.
“Our intention is to expand engage Super League coverage in the region with our aim being to provide commentary on games not being covered by the BBC or Sky, therefore giving more exposure to Yorkshire’s Super League sides”
