Ive heard he has agreed terms with us and its just down to the deal were doing with Cas for Ikahihifo/Wardle. Cas want a straight swap but we value Seb higher so want them to take an extra 30k salary or something along them lines.
Nathan Ross is contracted until 2020 with the Knights hes just out of favor.
In regards to Wardle, i hope he is going to play centre again. His career has gone downhill ever since he swapped to second row. In regard to Ross he is always talked of as a winger on his clubs website. Why on earth would be pay top dollar for another winger? I would assume it's to play centre, but that's unneccessary if we are signing wardle, and if we were to sign an aussie centre on a good wage i would hope it would be an out and out centre, who knows the role inside out.

I can tell you now Wardle is being brought in to play centre.
Ross is being brought in for centres. He was played all 3 in his time, FB, Centre & Wing. His most recent position has been on the wing.
Woolford doesnt rate Turner (so I hear) and has dropped behind Jake Wardle in pre season. If we sign Ross, it is expected Ross and Wardle will start in the centres until Cudjoe is fit.
Ross also trains the house down and has great work ethic like Grix so will set a great example for the Seniors and the younger lads.
This isnt done deal though, far from it - all ive just heard from a reestablish source (could be wrong)
We are starting to see the Woolford ethos in a lot of the signings, he definitely prefers grafters who will run their blood to water over flashy players (although Uate remains the only exception to this). I'm all for this to be honest, if you have a team full of players with that ethos you are going to produce the goods week in , week out even when things aren't going to plan.
Really dont see why we would need another winger or Centre if we get wardle. if that deal does go through we will desperately desperately need some more forwards. Already think we are very light in this area this year and only making it worse.

wardle for ikahihifo in a straight swap would be a joke of a deal, we ofcourse would be wanting cas to pay more for ikahihifo but being the giants and deals in the past we will prob mess this one up too
ross would prob be a good signing, seems to be a fans fave at newcastle, cudjoe is injured to that leaves us short in the centres... we would just drop straight down to the youngsters who cant play week in week out...its too much for them at this stage of their careers.
agree with other poster about us being light in the pack, was already a worrying sign last season when we didnt have seb in the pack, we were just too small ! but thats the way woolford seems to want to go so will see if he gets it right

I was really hoping to see Ikahihifo sign for Leeds but we can`t offload enough players to take him on it seems. However it looks like some of the Aussie coaches are going for mobility and graft over power and size this year. Could be something to do with the number of subs we can use. Time will tell if that`s correct.
can't understand giants signing someone else s sick note in joe wardle two coaches couldn't get him on the park have enough at the giants with sick notes alot couldn't wait to get shut of mamo but he played as many matches as fergie

Hard to compare Fergie and Mamo, Mamo was probably on 3 times the salary and not seen as a first choice player
mamo was a match winner fergie wasn't can't understand the obsession with signing wardle who isn't a wingers centre he can't pass the ball and gets white line fever or did when he was with us we will have two world class wingers and wardle isn't the answer
