Ok, so you have no real arguement (other than apathy). That's you perogative.
hello. Finishing work at 5:30pm means you can't get the coaches which leave at 5pm. Duh.
It may be frugal to drive but factor in fuel, parking, driving lessons, car, insurance, road tax, furry dice it starts to become expensive and a bit time restrictive for Friday.

Finish work at 5.30pm even and then you have to get home, get washed and changed and get fed. Sometimes it can take me ~1 hour to get home.
This is all by the by though. I don't frankly give two monkeys foreheads whether or not the population of Hull all finish half day Fridays to go to the chuffing Moon to watch them play the Martians XVII at a neutral venue for the first ever Champions of the Universe match.
If London is Athens, Yorkshire is Sparta, a tougher community and proud of it.

Why waste time washing?

That must be where we've all been going wrong!
Quick, spread the word. Less washing, more attending!
I shall inform the lads working the night shift at my plant that in reality they're not actually working because they're not part of the emergency services or catering industries and that they can all go home! I shall also phone all our customers and tell them that they should also close their plants and factories immediately and to take all their soap back to where they purchased it for a refund towards their coach fares to Hull!

Oh ffs, if fans don't want to go then thats up to them. It's nobodys business to tell them what to do or call them less of a fan for not attending. For someone who leaves work at 5 on a Friday and has to get across town during rush hour it is a bit of a rush and I can see why people will think, "lets watch Wigan and Rovers on Sky instead." I hope Huddersfield bring a decent following, but if they don't who cares? We should be a big enough club to be able to find 15,000 of our own fans to go without relying on travelling support. As for the atmosphere, again, we can do that by ourselves, chants of, who are ya? towards to opposing teams fans doesn't consitute a good atmosphere.

Wow! So in Hull there are no health workers working after 5.30pm. And no businesses have continental shifts with people doing 2pm-10pm or 10pm - 6am. All the buses and taxis stop at 5.30pm As do hotels / pubs / clubs. No wonder you get 15K at the KC, everything else is shut!!!
Likewise it would appear all your support live and work in a small area. Very parochial. Many Hudds fans live in east Lancs. Many work in places like Manchester (look it up on a map). leaving Manchester at 5.30 will not get you to Hull in 1hr and 20 mins.
i am looking forward to watching the rugby. I hope you enjoy counting the supporters.
