I'd rather spend £20 watching a championship 1 or 2 side than pay £20 to watch a game a headingley.
At least with a championship side I know my money is being put to good use and not going to fund visa appeals, 30+ aussies imports and treating woodworm in wooden seats!
Sing a song of Yorkshire, from the Humber to the Tees Of cricket, rugby, beer, of pudding and of cheese I know no other county where the land is quite so fine England's lovely county. And I'm proud to call it mine
Where shining purple heather stretches far across the moor And the lapwing's cry above me takes the place of traffic roar And peace comes drifting gently, there's no place I'd rather be Than this land of hills and valleys, from the Pennines to the sea
So when I've done my roaming, and when my step grows slow When heart and mind assure me that the time has come to go Then let me rest in Yorkshire, for its there I want to lie 'Neath sun and wind and heather... and a gleaming Yorkshire sky

Well you've had plenty of practice so hardly surprising

So there are no 30+ year old Aussie imports in the Championship then?
Like your jealousy anyway. It shows passion. No mention of your £20 going towards the most succesful academy in the British game I see

I have had regular practise.
I regularly go to matches in the Championship and even go to grassroots fixtures throughout the year. I’ll be off to watch a local fixture in Dewsbury on Saturday and shall be going to Hunslet on Sunday and paying £10 to watch them play York.
I know when I go to local amateur games any money I put into the club from beer money to purchasing a programme or raffle ticket will go directly back into the club coffers. Likewise when I go to a championship 1 or 2 fixtures.
I like the atmosphere at the grounds and the warm welcome you get from everyone associated with the clubs from the tea lady at Whitehaven to the groundsman at Featherstone
When I go to Headingley and buy a beer the money doesn’t go back into the rugby league club. I buy a programme and the money doesn’t go back into the rugby league club. I get a poor view and get insulted by the majority of people I walk past because I’m wearing an opponents shirt.
Yes a contributing factor is the price but the whole game day experience IMO at leeds is poor.
Is there anything bad against following local semi-pro teams that strive for every spectator they can get?

Because you normally lose?
You clearly have an issue with all things Leeds. Which makes this post stink of sour grapes. The programme money doesn't go back into the club? Beer money doesn't go back into the club? Where does it go? And if thats the case, is it different at Huddersfield and all other SL clubs?

I have no issues with Leeds as a club.
In fact I’ve been to more Leeds academy/reserve fixtures this year than I have been to Huddersfield’s. I was at Stanningley to watch Leeds v St Helens academy last weekend. Cracking match as well!
In terms of the beer money at clubs I think you’ll find that the majority of clubs employ outside caterers to sell food/drinks and Leeds in no exception. The club may get rent from these companies but it will be nowhere near what the company makes on the beer.
I was not comparing Huddersfield to Leeds as its exactly the same at the Galpharm.
