My thoughts on the game are these. It was a tough uncompromising encounter by two of the leagues more formidable outfits ( I reckon both teams will be there or there about come the end of the season). Hull were the better team in the early exchanges and I thought earned the lead they gained. However Huddersfield showed plenty of character and came back into the game strongly, credit to Crabtree and I must say Grix who I thought was outstanding (think you may have got yourself a cracking player there). Robinson blew a guilt edged opportunity before half time to get you back into the match, poor decision to go it alone IMO. Second period was a real arm wrestle which Hudds seamed to have the upper hand for most of it and deservedly got on the score sheet, but Hull held on gamely and time ran out for the Giants. The ref despite being ordinary got all the major decisions correct for me, is biggest failing is that he doesn't make it clear what he has awarded. Giants missed Hodgson (who wouldn't he as class act) but will be a real handful for every opposition this season as the squad has depth and quality. I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see this encounter repeated in one of the major final's this season.
