And jake too. You’re both entitled to your opinions. But they are laughable about Bruno and Murphy, and really just show your ignorance about the beautiful game .
Bruno was great tonight.
Many tackles - most as the shooter - when others weren’t offering.
He’s not a line breaker - but his quick play the ball, and front landing in the ruck speeds up our rolls in attack.
Both him and Murphy are excellent players that most teams would love in their systems. If you’re looking for shiny prima-donnas watch soccer.
Run leroy , run !.... And he did - twice - and we partied hard...

They would not get in any first choice team in the top 5. They are average super league players. I'm not saying they are bad players and neither had a bad game tonight but I just think there is only room for 1 Bruno or Murphy in the team if you have a set of prop forwards who struggle to make metres like ours do for the majority of games.
Answer me this, according to most fans Joe Wardle has been 1 of our best forwards so has to play. Mellor has to play due to his success. Murphy and Bruno the first names on the team sheet. Thats our back row, loose and 1st sub. Darnell has been tremendous up until last night. Taai has to play according to most, yes? Clough another first name on the team sheet type, yes? Jerry international winger and Turner massive metre maker this season. Leeming and O Brien are are always going to be in the team if fit. People seem to love Matagi too.
Leaves us very limited to where we can improve the squad.
Where do you think we need to strengthen? It's evident we need a new half back as Gaskells body can't hack it but surely isn't the only area we need to strengthen.

The sad thing is wakey are third - and think we really should have beaten them twice this year.
Giants fans might say so but ask any Hull or Wakey fans and they would say no. Just my opinion though.
Yes we should but we can't manage games at all. We barely even managed the London game properly. It's a massive shame that our season after next Sunday will be effectively over so soon.

And if you’re interested my view on strengthening...
Yes - a half - perhaps even a pair. Gaskell talented but misses too many games. Frawley - think jury a bit out still - definitely functional - but for an import he’s no Hastings or Austin.
Props is were I’d strengthen. Both Ta’ai and Seb were originally second rowers we moved into props. Reduced interchanges is highlighting Sebs limited stamina , but I’d like a couple of props so Taai goes second row, and Matty English rotates whilst he’s still learning.
Think our youngsters are good btw. Hewitts best game tonight and Russell’s kicking - on final plays and conversions excellent.
Without reserve teams it means youngsters are having to learn their trade in the first team , with super league points at stake.
If you want to see more talented Huddersfield youngsters academy at Lockwood tomorrow at 11. They are playing v well at the moment.

So if Wakey had lost both games they could say the same surely, your comment makes no sense. The reason we are third is that we can bring a team missing most of its key players and grind out win away from home.
One poster on here called us a poor Wakey team, I beg to differ as poor teams can’t do what we have kept doing over the past month and that’s win games!
Imagine what we’d have done to you if we’d been full strength.
Ditto! We are also missing players. I’d argue that some of those players of yours injured wouldn’t make your squad anyway- Would you drop fifita, Kopczak Pauli or Arona?

I agree with you Jools but some of ours out too might not make the team.
How do you fit Wardle, Murphy, Bruno, Ferguson, Mellor, Taai, English, Clough, Seb, Matagi all in the same team? Clough
For me, I have no idea what our strongest squad is but Clough has been bang average since he came back and Matagi wouldnt get in any other team in SL other than London possibly or HKR. My strongest squad would include them and be:
Darnell Jerry Leroy Turner Innes Senior/Louis Senior Gaskell Frawley Clough Leeming English Mellor Wardle Bruno or Murphy (not in the same team)
O Brien Taai Seb Ferguson or Matagi
However, they may not make Woolford full squad. Chances are after so long out and 2 serious knee injuries Leroy might be completely done and a shadow of the player he was?

let me inform you of your ignorance about the greatest game, (beautiful game is soccer btw i think, maybe you need to watch more shiny prima-donna's) to have two out of your three back rowers who can't break tackles, offload or make good metres with carries on the pitch at the same time is laughable. We looked woefully inept in attack in the first half, but that was for a number of reasons not just this one.
I have utterly no idea why they were using Matagi as second man out from the ruck when he is clearly at his best as a direct straight line first man runner. Everytime he came to take the ball second out he was stood more or less still and the defence was nearly up in his face, partly due to our crap passing. We were shockingly embarrasingly bad going forward and in defence and couldn't tackle probably the lightest man on the pitch (Caton-Brown) in defence, even with two or more men in front of him.
I agree that the one highlight of last night was Hewitt's performance, he looked really good, and i hope that improvement continues.
