wishy wrote:Shocked at the crowd in all honesty especially with 1100 from Hull! Can we really hide behind our poor form in front of the cameras given that we won just last sunday?? Yes it was late my son didn't go for instance, it was raining and cold and we were playing Hull KR but I still fail to see why the crowd was so poor Not when we've got far more for other sky games!!

Your son didnt go as it was late, how many other kids didnt either for the same reason?

My 80 year old Mother-in-law didnt go due to the late kick off and bad weather, as it was moved to a Friday my friend who travels from Coventry didnt make it either nor did my brother as he was away in Sunderland last night but had it been Sunday all 3 of those would have attended.

It is disappointing to get low crowds I agree but I can see why some of them didnt turn out.

Lets hope for a sunny friday evening in 2 weeks and plenty of marketing to get the fans back in.

I did not attend as i was delayed at work  .

because i did not go, neither did the three kids although i would have only taken one of them.

The problem is that we have a very high percantage of our tickets which go to families. ( i would be interested to know the percentage compared to other clubs)

BUT

we are a SUNDAY afternoon team. Games on Fridays are not for us and that shows with the crowds. Even a saturday 6 pm kick off is better but Friday night is f@@king uselesss for us. It is fine for 20 year old blokes who link it in with a Friday night p1ss up but not for women, kids, elderly etc.

I make no apologies for the crowd but SKY are helping to damage the game from attendances point of view with late changes and bad KO times

SPOT ON
Plus the fact that the weather was terrible, anyone with Sky would have thought sod this I`ll stop in and watch it. I would if I had not got a season ticket.

With 10 mins to kick off i thought it was going to be alot worse come kick off but the Antich filled up radily in that 10 mins. Our 3 kids couldn't go last night as it was our ex's weekends for them, but I can also imagine a few people looking at the weather and thinking 'sod that i'll watch it on tv'. There was still over 5000 Giants fans there for a Friday evening in the rain and on tv which is better than how many would have turned up for us a few years ago on a Sunday afternoon in the sun. Big raps for those of us who got off our backside to turn up and support the lads.

I take it you never watched rugby in the winter era then? I've stood in far worse conditions than that to support my team, I'd much rather watch live rugby than watch it on the telly.

Was a terrible journey over and home for us lastnight, heavy rain and spray on the motorway not much fun, yet when we got home there'd been no rain at all in Hull.

Though you deserved your win tonight, we seemed void of all ideas at times and you made us work very hard defensively.

just over 1000 HKR last night which means it is a pretty poor showing from our supporters,
but saying that, friday night,on sky,pi$$in it down, did we expect anything else really from our JCL's?
