O'Brien was castigated when he first arrived from Bradford, but he has knuckled down, worked hard and probably is not as gifted as Leeming, but for me he has moved waaayyy ahead of him in the pecking order.
Jools mentioned Leeming in the same post as Roby! Leeming is nowhere near as good as Roby or Clark, looks unfit, regularly drops off tackles and his minutes on the pitch is low compared to others.
Would absolutely love him to fulfill his potential, but he needs to do the hard work first....

good post

Its frustrating when people make stuff up in their own head about what I say. Its like I write one thing and people read another. please read what I said - I said his running game was second only to Roby, didn't say he was as good as Roby (or Clarke). Might he look unfit (your opinion, I don't particularly share it)because he's missed games through injury? -might he be doing lower minutes as a result?
As for the falling off tackles comment - where on Earth has that idea come from? he's missed 15 tackles from 457 all season!!!!!!
of course now its been said the rumour will perpetuate that he cant tackle - because someone read it on here and someone else said what a good post it was....
As a comparison Roberts who has made the same number of tackles as him this year has missed 40. Seb whos made slightly fewer tackles has missed 27, and Mellor who's made 10 more tackles has missed 34. :ASK:

Oh my! What was I thinking - questioning your unrivalled knowledge of all things RL.
I've never known you reading something else into what someone has posted on here.....
These were my opinions of what I have seen from him this season and obviously unlike you I haven't been particularly impressed and as I said seems to be going backwards.
You mention Roberts and Seb in your post and I think most will agree including me that they have also been below par - but seeing as the topic is named "Leeming" I thought it would post my opinion on his performances.
Simon Woolford obviously knows a thing or two about hookers, so it will be interesting to see how much he rates him. Maybe our new coach is giving him less minutes because he thinks he in not putting in the effort, (just my opinion of course).
So after quoting Leemings stats for the season - do you think he has had a good season, as I feel we seem to go off the boil a bit when O'Brien is subbed.

I think he’s had a solid season overall- some games better than others. I have said time and again he’s young and still learning.
I honestly think “potentially” he’s a better all round hooker than O’Brien. (The comments by Hinchcliffe about It no longer being a game for 85kg hookers were interesting don’t you think) His stop/ start season has disrupted him this year.
His strengths are his tackling and his running game, he needs to work on his discipline. He also has a bit of a kicking game which adds another dimension “potentially” to his game that O’Brien does not appear to possess.

That won’t happen this year and history suggests won’t happen much for next two years either

Do you think the length of contract has mad him too comfortable? I was very disappointed when we lost him to you. Then last season and in the World Cup he was great. Maybe with a full off season he might get back to form next year
