You're only eleven he said you cant go there on your own. Wait til next time when you're a bit older. THE WAIT IS OVER. Family all coming including 6 yr old granddaughter. Who knows how long a wait she'd have if she misses this one. They get back form Crete at 6 o'clock on cup final day then straight down M6 with the Wire fans. They can go home after the match.

Never been to Wembley and I said I'd never go unless Huddersfield RLFC got to play there, so I thought I never would. I still can't believe we are going. Folk at work say the new Wembley is awesome. I guess we're gonna find out. Twickenham was good, although in our heart of hearts I think we knew we would struggle but this final, we have a real reason to be optimistic:D

Wembley is Awesome.
The feeling you get as you walk out into the arena is massive. The noise is immense and seeing the Claret and Gold adorn one side of the ground will be brilliant. I went with Town when they got promoted and when Emley got to the FA Shield final but this tops all them - just.

I cant wait at all, getting to twickers was good, but this is Wembley, and we can win it there.
On the 114th Birthday of the Rugby Football League as well.
(Interestingly the meeting where they decided to form the Northern Union and hold their first meeting at the George was held in Warrington. RL was born in Huddersfield but conceived in Warrington.

Sunday was an amazing day. Got back to the windmill pub in Stoke and all the regulars were cheering and clapping as I walked through the door. They had all watched the game on BBC and led by two wire fans were supporting us.
I can only echo the sentiments on this thread already. Having been through the dark times with this team its now time to enjoy our moment in the sun. Lets hope its not just a moment. I think we can really push on from here and become a dominant force in superleague.
Anyway, at wembley on the 29th of August I think there will be more than one grown man with a "bit of grit in his eye" come the final hooter

For me it means seeing my hometown club and my supported club actually playing for one of the prestige cups in this country. The last time Huddersfield picked up this trophy as winners my mum wasn't even born till later that year.
I've been to Wembley 3 times one for a prestige trophy the league cup with Leeds they lost but the place was packed and the atmosphere electric. The other 2 times were with Town one win and one lost. Just can't wait to actually goto the new build! Was going to visit when I was down for the weekend when we played Quins but thought I want to come on a matchday and even then thought it'd be this year! I could see the arch from my Hotel window!

At 2pm on 29th August I will be watching my mate of 20 years getting married, so not sure how much of the game I will get to see. The only consolation is that there will be a few other Fartown fans there to share the misery!
