Some people put themselves ahead of others and thats their choice. I will hold nothing against him for doing so. But if he has resigned then he is no longer a member of the Hudds refs society and not insured to officate so technically no players/officals will be insured for him to referee. So legally he cannot officate in any final until he re-joins a society (whether thats halifax, bradford or any other)
I'd hate to be a member of the Hudds league if there is a serious injury in that final (heaven forbid)
But I think it is bang out of order when the Hudds league put him in that position. Knowing what the societys stance was the league ask him to referee one final and touch judge the other. Puts him in a very difficult position doesnt it?
