I reckon they may increase the league to 14 teams anyway.

It wouldn't be the first time we have been saved by similar moves. In fact by the apparent complete lack of urgency or attempt to do anything to rescue the club ,you have to wonder if they know something we don't.

what did you want them to do?

hands are pretty much tied with salary cap, they tried to offload roberts and swap for hampshire recently but player changed mind.

Because that is what supercat explicit point was - see post a few up

For clarity, you are a Giants fan making this rather abstract comment ?

My agenda is simple, every club has a right to be in SL regardless of away following. If you want to offset the lack of atmosphere or revenue, think outside the box as its not the responsibility of the away team.

Note, our game with HKR has today been moved to a midweek night from a Sunday, no doubt our support that night will be under the microscope.

Would rather go to a game with a bit of atmosphere, and actually enjoy seeing and having a chat with away fans on game day (Most of them) rather than staring at a empty away stand with silence when there team score.

By the way your calculations are completely wrong, I think every Hudds fan on here will agree when I say they brought way more than 250 fans to Belle Vue on there visits this season, probably closer to 1000. Leigh also usually turn out in good numbers of around 1000, so straight away your estimation would go from 500 to 2000 - Where are you factoring in food and drink in your calculations? Our chairman has openly said drinks is one of our biggest revenue streams so just wondering how much of that is from the away fans? Please enlighten us? Also where does your figure of £15 come from?£25 for an adult ticket, £10 for a Junior - Even if you split Adult/Juniors 50/50 you still would get an average of £17.50 and it is nowhere near the 50/50 - At a wild guess (As yours purely is) I would say closer to 80/20 Adult to Junior ratio, giving on average of around £22.

Still not a massive amount of revenue, but don`t try falsely manipulating figures to suit your agenda.
If the Rl keep to the present system of 12 teams it is not beyond the realms of possibility that the Toulouse team could be promoted to SL in 2021 thus having four teams who will bring very few spectators through the gates we will then see how much away support is vital to most clubs.Finance through the gates from away teams is most vital to each and every club so lets not kid ourselves that it isn't.My own thoughts on this would be to increase SL up to 16 or even 18 clubs and bring in Fev Leigh Bulls Toulouse then stop promotion and relegation. Also radical as it may seem start to look at clubs who cannot generate a reasonable income from their own efforts a knock on effect would be a few of the better players would move up to the more affluent team which could bolster the proposed A teams and academies.
As I said radical but it has been happening in industry for years ,also look at Bury and other FA clubs. There are problems in this but I personally can see no other way in the near future.

Fair enough then but all the other teams who are in the danger zone have all made some attempt to bolster their chances, all except Leeds being in worse financial position than us. But to be fair i cant blame Mr Davy if he has said enough is enough, and i,m not surprised Hampshire didn't want to come.

How do you know what financial position others are in? And financial Position is not necessarily linked to ability to spend on the cap.l
Wigan have never been in a poor financial position- but have cheated the cap three times!

True jools but it worked and kept them from relegation in one of the cases, The last time the Giants cheated didn't it cost them half a million to Mason and £20.000 to the bulls, somebody was really doing a good job there.
Wigan went from owning the iconic Central park to paying rent where they are now , are you sure they have never been in a poor financial position.
