Have we not had a second 'tranche'?

If you do not have the full facts on initial allocation, how many further sets of tickets we were given etc then you don't know how many tickets we've sold.

If you don't know how many tickets we've sold then you don't know if it's more or less than 2006.

Basically, you don't know. So how can you condemn something when you don't know?

I understood our allocation was 10,000. 8,000 tickets sold is really dissapointing and I cannot see how we are even going to come close to the apparent 13,000 we took to twickenham. I hope I am wrong but our wonderful team and mr Davy deserve much better from the public of Huddersfield. He must be wondering what he needs to do!

I don't want to bring the tone down because noone is more excited for this saturday than me but it dies present a worry for the future

Many people buy their tickets directly from the RFL. They often buy them well before the semis. Also many other non ST holders will not wait until they can get tickets from the Giants. Instead they will go straight to the RFL.

The RFL will have the postcodes of ticket buyers and particularly of interest will be purchases after the semi result.

And there will be many fans choosing to go on official trips once they know the semi results. So , hypothetically, you could get 40 people who then book to go on the Examiner CCF trip. These tickets would probably be bought from the RFL not the club.

On top of this you have fans of eliminated teams selling their pre bought tickets.

Maybe before we case doubt on how many Giants fans will be a Wembley we should consider those who may have purchased tickets from other sources. Some may have purchased from the internet and direct from the RFL.

The thing is when the so called 'lesser' teams get to Wembley demand is normally lower - look at the number of tickets available on ebay at a vastly reduced price that those from the RFL and directly from the club. I saw 2 for block 549 go the other day for £5 for the pair!!!!!! - why pay £81 for a pair when they are going for that price.

The problem is that the RFL were selling tickets for £10 in this and other blocks I think in January on 'Wembley Wednesday' so maybe supporters have bought through these channels.

Lets face it its not a cheap day or weekend out is it especially if you have a family but the counter arguement there is its only happened to us (getting to the final) twice is it in 50 odd years however for that reason surely its worth the effort?.

Either way there has and regrettably may always be a certain apathy with supporting the Giants from the good people of Huddersfield. As I think it was Ken Davy said the other week the club have missed out on a generation of supporters with that 50 year spell when the club didnt win anything. Look at the number of supporters in Kirklees that travel to the Bull, Rhino's etc.

I am afraid that unless we have a team which consistently challenges for honours in the coming years this may not change. HOWEVER for those of us that purchase season tickets, support the team and are going to Wembley then the best thing we can do is get behind the team and cheer them on to hopefully Challenge Cup success.

If other teams are going to poke fun at our support well its nothing more than we hear week in week out - we are used to it. Having said that there are plenty on here that travel a fair distance to watch the Giants at home never mind away so it frustrating that more locals cant get off their backsides to support the team - they certainly deserve our support this season!!

COME ON YOU GIANTS!!!

Since the last Cup Final our attendances have gone up. We have a real chance of winning this Final whereas last time we were big outsiders.

Common sense dictates that we'll take more this time and hopefully that will prove to be the case.

There will be trolls who would just LOVE to jump opn stuff like this and given that there are several assumptions in it leading up to the conclusion that we've only sold 8k tickets then I think it's asking for trouble TBH!

If you're 100% sure we've only sold 8k tickets then fine. But I don't believe that is the case.

Steady there danril, I am certainly not trolling on my own board and I take the replies to the post on board, I must admit the things pointed out have made me feel better about the situation. I just want thus great team to succeed and really hope they get the support they deserve. I just can't wait now!

I didn't say you were trolling, I said that the trolls would love to jump on this.

The truth is that the original OP is right. Our ticket office sales have been brisk basically our season ticket holders bought as soon as they could and since then the general sales have been slow!

I am only guessing but I think the no concessions may have played a major part in this. Many families may've been put off! I have been speaking to friends with kids who would love to goto Wembley but when they found out it would cost a minimum of £84 and thats without travel and food, drink ect. They simply just couldn't afford. I know I'm getting the excuses in and Warrington would say they've got the same financial climate over there. But remember we're tight with money over here!

I also know many people have bought from the RFL and from other sources but I really doubt these numbers will be in our official count.
