His brain can explode at times granted but thats what you get with Danny. What we get is his kicking esp in open play something we were weak at last season. We have 3 other halves with Miller Hampshire and Reynolds, you may disagree but thats some goid quality there. With Danny to provide game management then CC is obviously looking at taking the club higher than 5th. So Brough will be taking a leading role developing the other halves. Now look at yourselves, yes some for Danny leaving some against it. He will leave a gap in your attack and game management. You have brought in a young NRL half my experience of Aussies etc is that it generally tskes a season to bed in. You have lost a game manager and it may or may not show time will tell. I expect Danny to move into a coaching type role as Grix is rumoured for yourselves. Oh and Scott is a great addition to yourselves much the same as Brough to us but a different position but a similar age. Finally rumours of the deal indicate Wakefield have done prettg well in this.
For us, a clean break was what was required. You cannot bring in another playmaker and expect them to work alongside Brough, he wants all the responsibility for himself, and was quite vocal when others made bad decisions. I have no doubt we will make a slow start to the year as teams who replace their main playmaker often do, but it was always coming, just a matter of when, i would rather it be now than later, and obviously Woolford agrees. Some no doubt, will look at our early performances next year and say we would have been better with Brough. Well he was playing for the first 10 games of last year and we won diddly squat. As for Wakefield, i wish him all the best, with a clean start he may make the difference you require, but as i said perviously, unless you win something with him at the helm what have you gained other than setting back the development of your younger halves?
