All the best Broughy and thanks for the memories. A real competitor who gave 100% even when others seemed only to be playing at 50%.

Yep. A great player to watch - good or bad always something happening!

I've seen him training and it's always 100% - doesn't know any other way.

We all know his downsides but you've got to take the rough with the smooth and there was plenty of smooth.

All the best Danny.

His brain can explode at times granted but thats what you get with Danny. What we get is his kicking esp in open play something we were weak at last season. We have 3 other halves with Miller Hampshire and Reynolds, you may disagree but thats some goid quality there. With Danny to provide game management then CC is obviously looking at taking the club higher than 5th. So Brough will be taking a leading role developing the other halves. Now look at yourselves, yes some for Danny leaving some against it. He will leave a gap in your attack and game management. You have brought in a young NRL half my experience of Aussies etc is that it generally tskes a season to bed in. You have lost a game manager and it may or may not show time will tell. I expect Danny to move into a coaching type role as Grix is rumoured for yourselves. Oh and Scott is a great addition to yourselves much the same as Brough to us but a different position but a similar age. Finally rumours of the deal indicate Wakefield have done prettg well in this.

You mean the rumour we are still paying his wages
Not. A . Chance.
The best you can hope for is you didn’t have to pay a transfer fee for a player still in contract!

For us, a clean break was what was required. You cannot bring in another playmaker and expect them to work alongside Brough, he wants all the responsibility for himself, and was quite vocal when others made bad decisions. I have no doubt we will make a slow start to the year as teams who replace their main playmaker often do, but it was always coming, just a matter of when, i would rather it be now than later, and obviously Woolford agrees. Some no doubt, will look at our early performances next year and say we would have been better with Brough. Well he was playing for the first 10 games of last year and we won diddly squat. As for Wakefield, i wish him all the best, with a clean start he may make the difference you require, but as i said perviously, unless you win something with him at the helm what have you gained other than setting back the development of your younger halves?

Brough has walked away from a one year deal to the increased security of a two year deal and the carrot of a coaching role.

Wage paying rumours are just internet bluster. The internet is contemporaneously the best & worst invention ever.

Thanks Danny, you will always be C&G in my eyes and we were lucky enough to get his best years. A change is probably best for both parties - he spent a significant part of last season banned and a new environment, challenge and so on will no doubt do him good and possibly benefit Wakey too. I dare say he will do better there than if he stayed with us, purely because of the challenge. He is a winner and winners rise to the challenge.

A good deal for all concerned IMO.

grix coming as a coaching capacity is a good move, the guy is a workaholic and ultimate pro and can bring the next full back on whether that be mcintosh i dont know

As I recollect the majority of your fans couldn't wait to see the back of Grix the last time he was there, what's changed where all the shudds fans now welcome him back with open arms.

If it helps so was Grix, your clubs happy with the deal, so is ours where's the problem whatever the financial arrangements are.

As part of the coaching staff yes as a player not a chance made so many mistakes was untrue.

To say he was there for 6 seasons' and played in 161 games in your most successful era in SL seems to conflict with your opinion.
