Agreed but his defending isn’t always, your heart is always in your mouth if a kick off or high ball goes in Darnell’s direction....

Paul Clough lots of hard yards, tackles but virtually never concedes a penalty in the forwards and played exactly the same in the early season.

150 metres, 35 tackles and very long minutes against Wakey due to injuries but rarely gets a mention

You could nominate most of the backs since Woolfords tenure started but the most obvious is Gerry since Leroy returned, proving that really it’s a team game and good as Gerry is right now he’s better with Leroy creating openings for him which might point to where a lot of our problems were early season...

Yep, to be fair, other than Roche, all the Bradford boys have had a good season, especially since Stone departed

Yes Rick Stone did but 8th not 5th.... but then the start of this season and voyage to the bottom of the League was Rick too...

The big judgement will be how good or bad are we after a full pre-season with some new players chosen by Simon ?

He did more in two months than rick did in two years.

For someone who seems to go unnoticed, Clough has his fair share of admirers on here! Quite right too.

As mentioned by others, he has been a consistent performer throughout this turbulent season - a solid, dependable presence in the middle of the park with a strong work-rate. He has made more metres than any other forward at the club (only behind Jerry & Rankin overall) and has made the second most tackles. He also makes few errors and gives few penalties away.

Clough would get my vote.
