Tell me any halfback that can perform with the amount of space and time he had last night?
Our forwards are the ones that failed not Robinson, same as they did in the CC final.
Robinson was trying everything but gettting smothered by saints, not that he was being given many options by his players, no runners, no one looking for work.
Dont blame Robinson for this one, he is one halfback who had no support.

In intense games your time and space is cut. When it happens Robbo is found wanting.

In fact, tell me of any players that came out of that game with much glory intact?
Yes his time and space is cut down, but when he has no runners, no support play what is he supposed to do?
Pass it to a Saints player for a clear run to the line?
Lunt was the one who stood out that day for me...he seemed to be trying IMO.
As for Robinson I tend to agree with some of the comments made. I feel that he holds on to the ball too long, he is very readable at times. You can tell when the pressure has got to him because he goes red like a beetroot and looks panicky. He has had good games for us but he can be frustrating to watch at times. Last night from the get go I knew he wasnt in the right frame of mind.
IMO we are struggling for a decent half back combination that regularly goes out there and runs the show.

Now that last line I will agree with.
To be honest, the moment I saw the team line up I though we were in trouble, too many players in odd positions imo, should have left the lineup as was, just given another young player a runout at hooker. imo

There were 16 other players on the day. It was robbo's 'glory plays' that cost us 2 tries. halves and hookers set the tone. Moore and Robbo stank. Lunt and Brown did not.
he has a severely limited kicking game and he can only pass in one direction. I have seen him fluff 3 clean breaks when he failed to deliver the 'money pass'.
He is not a top 2 half back and that is what we need.

Now I wont dissagree with that last sentiment, however how many of such a beast are there our in RL land? Not many.
Robbo and Brown were starting to gell and compliment each other a lot until Browns injury, now Robbo is trying too hard, same as he did in the CC final.
Moore hasnt had a good game since he got picked for England imo.
I think if Fulton had been left at 6 instead of pushed to hooker and Hodgo had been left at fullback instead of pushed to 6 we might have seen a different game all together.
But yeah, when we have played poorly, Robbo's passing has been obviously terrible, and his glory seeking has cost us tries. But by the same token, Hodgo's passing and kicking has often gone astray in those games too, along with our forwards going missing.
Simple thing is not to get on his back, but to help lift him, because like it or not, he isnt going anywhere soon, and if he was, who would he be replaced by?
I'm not getting on his back and wouldnt sit in the crowd and call him.
I am just stating my opinion.
I think we would fair much better with someone of Sean Long's ability. Dont like Sean Long, never have, but he has been an awesome play maker, has a great kicking game and can change a game around. I dont get that feeling from Robinson sadly. He was the same at Salford.

I am not just saying he has bad games. I am saying he does not have the capability to do the things we need from a half back at the highest level.
