So personally I don't see a great deal of difference unless Cunningham and Long return in form and they turn us around. If they do achieve that then your guys will get a hammering. However, if they don't then it's up for grabs.
As for resting your team. We got fined for doing that under Millward. It just shows how times have changed! Most of us are not bothered really because we have our private battle with Leeds going on and we need all the help we can get. I'd trust your coach on this one as he seems to know your players very well. He's brought them on a treat. You have a top four place secured, you're in the Challenge Cup final and you could get to Old Trafford. I'd suggest that Brown is simply weighing up the risks and rewards here, and is making a sound decision in your favour.
And last year you played us before your CCFinal. You made 6 changes from the team that played us. Including players like Wellens, Pryce and Fa'asavalu. Also I think you had 2 players who had not played SL in 08 until the Giants game.
In 09 Saints have beaten Cas 50 - 10 at home and last year they beat us 46-16 (and we had no CCF the next week).
So lets see how we do.
