Hoyle is a bit of an enigma in all this. I don't know how I should view his involvement (or lack of) in all this. On one hand, he's no mug. So do I deduce that by doing business with Davey this means he believes Davey is sound? On the other, what do we read into his silence regarding the shares situation? Is he keeping his nose out of something that doesn't concern him or that he's quietly agreeing with the unhappy Town fans?

Not having a go at Ken here but does HSP also own the Giants 20% of the stadium? i.e. if Ken ever left the Giants would he keep the Giants 20% the same as he's kept Town's 40%?

I think that is right. Apparently he did it as the stadium was losing money at the time and he felt that separating the clubs from the stadium would help protect the clubs. I think that was what happened, but it was a while ago so things may have got muddled in my head.

Stadium is part owned by HSPL (60%) and KMC (40%). This was originally 20%, 40%, 40% to Giants, HTAFC and KMC respectively.

KD wanted to isolate the debts of the stadium from the clubs so moved the shared into HSP limited (which was the old Huddersfield Giants Rugby League Limited company before a rename - this confused many people into thinking he gave the shares for Hudds Town to the Giants). This is a legitimate business practice and stops the rugby and football club being liable should the Stadium go bankrupt.

When he gave up Huddersfield Town to the new guy I am guessing the deal was he walked away but remained funding the club for a further two years in exchange for the shares in the stadium which remain in HSP. I am guessing they will have an option to purchase them back should they wish.

it would make me chuckle if Ken, now not tied to HTAFC turned round and said "fair enough, if you dont like the deal that kept HTAFC in business and alive, stop coming"
