Question. If Bird is banned fom Playing for a UK club due to a decision by the UK Border Agency then who gives him permission to play in the UK for the Dragons. Surely he must must be banned from entering the UK as he has no visa.

He got denied a work visa to live and work in the UK, not to live and work in France.

If he has a visa to work in France can he work in the UK? Surely it would be a case of him being turned back at immigration due to his failed visa every time he plays away!

He will be able to work in the UK, but not live here, or be employed by an English company.

I am not an expert on visa regulations at all but I a UK Visa takes into account the fact that the Visa resident will be living in the UK, it isnt just a work permit

Bird now has the right to work an live in france and is employed by a french company, because of that he cant be refused entry to the UK in the course of his job - unless he was barred entry for an entirely other reason.

FYI:
Quote:Although the UK Borders Agency have no objection to him playing in France, it will be up to individual immigration officers at UK airports to decide whether he is allowed entry into this country.

Catalans have been admitted into our competition and should abide by our rules. This is a smack in the mouth to the RFL and it's a shame they can't ban him from our competition.

On the other hand, the fact that we were going to sign him could be seen as a smack in the mouth to the NRL's attempt at discipline.
