New recommendations announced on today's BBC news are that the Ashes [cricket version] should be shown on free, terrestrial TV along with 'rugby' internationals..

Great news [!?].

The downside being that the RL Challenge Cup be dropped from the list of protected events.

My guess is that Rugby means yawnion.

I would like the RL to split its packages up so that we still get some terrestrial coverage. That however will be dependent on improving the appeal of RL. Long live expansion, franchising and building a greditable international competition.
