I really think that the RFL and FRL need to try and encourage more SL clubs to pick up young french players, and to encourage those young french players to try and get in at english clubs.

Les Catalans are a huge step forward in promoting and reviving French RL (Who were the first RL world champs dont forget!) but they need more help. NZ players appear throughout the NRL, we need French players to do the same in SL, so when the international season is on us the French team isnt made up of a load of Catalans players and some semi-pro guys from the Championship.

A strong England needs a strong France, that alone will help raise RLs profile in the media.
