I enjoyed those days and strangely enough I got a perverse happiness at losing in superleague at the back end of our poor run. Remember ? When it was almost a badge of honour to be still cheering the team on whilst bottom of the league for the 4th time. And opposition fans wondering how the hell we could still support them It was disappointing when we eventually won a game. Wonder how many fans the likes of Wigan et al would have now, had they been in our position ?

Your coach sets out a great game plan and it plays to the weaknesses of the oppo and your own strengths. Getting rid of that pudding Sharp seems like the best thing you could have done, I see he's making a big impression at Hull!!!!
The full back looks a real class act and a very clever player who behind a dominant pack looks like he could open up most teams. I believe this isn't a blip and you will be up there til the death of this comp unless the CC sidetracks you a bit.
I'd just like to say that although I agree with Morgans criticism of Thaler, not just in this game but pratically every game he refs for us, I no way think this should detract from the fact tthat you were by far the better prepared, fitter and out played us in all departments, I only hope we can put on a better display when we play you later in the year at your place with out the ref as a distraction. You never know maybe see you at Wembley, hopefully we'll avoid getting you earlier.
In short well played... Just felt it needed saying.
Cheers. That's a great post. Both clubs have come a long way in recent years - hope we see you at Wembley!

I used to love that old terrace, facing up to sides like Mansfield Marksman, thinking if we can beat these we may have turned the corner. There's only one Andy Sewell.

Spot on
As my dad said to me last Friday "We've come a long way when we are a bit dissapointed with a 20 point win compared to thinking we have a chance against Runcorn Highfield"

How many times did we watch the team struggling but then do well against a div 1 team in the cup and think we have turned the corner only to lose by 40 points the week after.
I still cannot feel we have turned the corner until there is some silverware in the trophy room.

It's still early days in the season, ultimately. No point getting too far ahead f ourselves. At some point we will lose a few, there's no doubt about that.
