From a Saints fan. When the opposition coach and fans are moaning about your tackling technique, lying on, refs give you everything blah blah blah, you know youre doing something right. If theyre still moaning and youre in the GF will you be bothered? For the good of the game its great to see yourselves and others play so well this year, even though it means the clocks ticking on our period of success.

cant for the life in me see what thaler did wrong i personally thought he had a good game, not sure on penalty count but rovers seemed to have more than us.

Penalty count was extremely low. Mr T hardly gave any penalties and what he gave were correct. He let the game flow - as he has done all season.
I'm sure that the KR lot are correct when saying that we were offside quite a lot. I'm also convinced that their team were far from angels and were also offside. However, being seated in the £20dump I have no way of telling.
Our holding down was shorter than most teams - and KR held down just as long/short.
The tackling issue has been all the way to Mr Cummings. Even Boots & All has done a feature on it. Nothing wrong. Absolutely nothing.
From what I have seen of Mr Thaler this season [twice before today] he treated us no different to the opposition, & the opposition no different to us. He lets the game flow - none of your stop/start Mr Ganson stuff - ignores the 'minor' offences but pulls up the 'major' ones.
He is by far the best referee I've seen for a long time.
The thing for me was that Rovers fans like to influence the ref. Thaler did not allow that and after a good start Rovers faded. And of course, they wont be mentioning any offsides or forwards passes etc they were guilty of. They started well, they faded, they failed to influence the ref and they got frustrated. Today Morgan may well be wishing he'd not opened his gob and said some of the things he said as I don't think it will have done his reputation much good at Red Hall.
If London is Athens, Yorkshire is Sparta, a tougher community and proud of it.
