Bramley chairman Martyn Cheney welcomed the announcement of the Challenge match, "We last played South London Storm in our first National League 3 season and had a really tough game at Storm Park, we are looking for the same again this time. We have had close links with Giovanni over the years and when he suggested this game we were up for the challenge immediately."

Head Coach Mark Butterill added "A big thanks to our sponsors National Express for enabling this game to take place. This will be our second Pre-Season game and the lads are up for the challenge against South London Storm and with the league season starting the weekend after I'm looking for a big performance for my team, We've trained hard over the long off season and we're ready for the National Express Challenge."
