I hope you are right VL. I am somewhat vexed off, I have just found out that SKY NZ have lost the rights to show Super League, they are poop, they show repeats of series and programmes over and over again and lose this kind of programme and they have the cheek to put the friggin prices up.
A match we should have won. Too many mistakes and a lack of intensity both in attack and defence compared with the Warrington game. Not enough leg drive following contact from Amone or Mulhern. The yardage we allowed the opposition was more than last season. We should have taken the two with the in-range penalties. The referee was inconsistent. If Asiata’s yellow was deserved then the interference on Amone as he tried to play the ball quickly near their line a minute before was equally culpable. Very disappointing not to get two points but given the under par performance overall, if the individual players can cut out the mistakes and reach the intensity of last season then with the quality in the squad there is every hope of achieving similar standards.

We lost our 1st game at home last season, so let's hope we can put it right after this.
Well, we never got going at any point. Edwin out from 10 mins onwards was a big blow. Davis played very well but is slower at moving the ball from the ptb than Ipape ( as are most 9’s) and doesn’t have that threat level that draws defenders in, and so creates just that bit more space/gaps for others to run through. Davis now has a big role to play as A Lam has said Edwin could be gone for 6 weeks (or more but hopefully not) as it could be a medial ligament issue. Time for us fans to get behind Davis and McNamara and trust that A Lam will adjust our play to get the most from them at 9. We were second best tonight but only by a fine margin. I honestly believe we have the right players, coach(s) etc to be top 4 so I’m not do down right now (but do hope Edwin is less than 6 weeks)

I just didn't get all these grubber kicks, and not even on the last tackle. Our whole approach seem to be different to as we looked like last season, and we looked lost so much. Tonight wasn't even constructive in any way. Our go forward was so abysmal, and thought Moylan was playing in his work boots. After saying all that, I think Lammy will know all this and address it for our next game against Saints away. Hopefully Completion & discipline was a real worry too. Much to work on to put it right.
Fair comments Cokey. I think we were very affected by the loss of Ipape in several ways, that were hard to fix in game, with only one pre-season game under our belt and a new halfback duo. That may be why we saw more grubber kicks as gaps/space was not there as it would more likely be if he were on the field. It did however look like we went to it too much. Give Hudds there due, they did defend their line well, but we also didn’t quite complete on a couple of half chances out wide on both sides. Two weeks now to work on attack with Davis and McNamara as the first contact players. Edwin out is a big miss, but it may just mean we become a more diverse attacking team as a result (with hopefully less grubber kicks
