Doesn’t look many weaknesses in that Wigan team does there

Tonight's game is everything to play for. Leigh have a chance to be Kingmakers and at the same time make an easier game in the play-offs.

I want the team to push on and make a real fist of the Play-off race, but I understand many are saying that we won the Challenge Cup and we should be happy with our lot. Lammy will not be thinking like that, and he wants to prove a point against his former employer and this is a huge opportunity to stick one on the local rivals and really make the town buzz.

The only chance for Leigh to progress in the play-offs is to get a home fixture against Hull KR and avoid an away game against Catalans.

I can't really complain about much despite the loss.

I like Chamberlain, he is a handy squad player and went well in the second row when Kai was banned. But he is no Zak, if Zak plays then I think Field doesn't score the first try, possibly Wardle doesn't score his and we have more threat down each flank.

I think Hughes had his best match in a Leigh shirt and Lam had his best match against Wigan.

MoM for me were O'Brien and Mellor.

Think we played a bit too quickly for ourselves and bombed far too much, Wigan were expert at just building pressure and keeping us pinned in our own half.

Some rather dubious calls which I'll have to look back on the replays for.

KR away is doable with Asiata given how they played tonight but I won't begrudge KR going all the way.

Brilliant atmosphere tonight, felt like a big occasion with then band and the fireworks.

Leigh are a proper team, your front row are incredible and play massive minutes.

Could have gone either way tonight, don’t fancy playing you in a couple of weeks with Hardaker and Asiata back.

Good luck next week

"Rather dubious calls", on a single decision a season turns. Wigan finish 2nd and Catalans win the League Leaders Shield and Leigh get a Home tie.

Why must the ref have to send upstairs with a decision?

To be fair Leigh did have another 30 minutes to score a try but couldn’t

To be fair though. Neither team scored after that, so it was a regular season defining decision for several teams, including Leigh and Wigan. It was also clearly a wrong decision.
That said, I believe we will turn HKR over next week but Catalan will be a bridge too far for brave but exhausted band of brothers.

First game was in 1967, and have been hooked since day 1. Now live in Vancouver, Canada but follow our team any way I can.

Winner from our game face Wigan unless Warrington beat Saints, which would see Catalans as the opponent.
