Ok it’s time to flush Wellens and co, and look forward to our grand day out.
For the Vancouver Leythers, there is myself and Junior VL arriving down in London on the Friday afternoon, and staying in The Fox & Goose Hotel 3 miles from Wembley, until Sunday morning. We are sitting in block 113, row 11, and I have just received two Leopard print bucket hats from Amazon Canada
Right now we plan to wear the Centurions shirts that had the fan names as the background on the rear of the shirt. My Dads name is there, with my own and VL Junior’s. My Dad supported Leigh for over 70 years but never saw them play at Wembley (best man at a wedding the same day as 71 !). This will be my way of taking him there this time, along with my own son. He always felt bad for not going but that was for me, not for himself. Despite the tinge of sadness, I will be celebrating the day to the fullest as he would have done
If anyone is heading down on the Friday, or staying the Saturday night, I would love to meet up for a beer if possible. Or if anyone has heard of where any Leythers are gathering on the Friday evening or Saturday pre-game, I’d appreciate that info.
Win or lose this is going to be a bucket (hat) list thing for me. I honestly think we have the team to win this, and I’m literally vibrating with excitement already.
